Research
The Leeds CF Research programme helps improve clinical care and develop new treatments for the management of cystic fibrosis. Key areas of expertise include electronic patient records and e Health, nutrition, infection, mechanism of drug allergy, renal disease, CF related arthritis, psychology, adherence, education and physiological predictors of disease.
Grants
On Research is funded through multiple competitive grants. We collaborate closely with other departments as well as Leeds University, University of Liverpool, Beckett university and Sussex University
Clinical trials
The adult unit has a clinical trials unit. We are members of the European clinical trials network and participate in key multi centre drug trials. Our priority has been to target trials of new therapies including CFTR correctors and potentiators.
